We stopped by the house on Thursday and checked out the kitchen backsplash. We used plain glass rectangles with a white backing. I’m not sure why it displays a little blue, but I think glass, in general, is a little blue. Anyway, we are liking it very much/
So, the tile for the house is done.
I also noted that all the electrical fixtures were neatly laid out in each room where they are to be installed. My husband had labeled them a few days before this. We have not been able to find 11″ white globes to replace the one that was broken (long before we started the remodeling process), so I’m hoping that we will be able to find one soon. Or even replace the remaining one with a 12 ” globe, if we can find two of those.
The electrical work was supposed to begin last Friday, but the electrician got sick. Hopefully, it’s not that horrid flu. So, maybe they are working on the electrical as I write.
Over the weekend, a friend and I went to Hobby Lobby. I had never been there before and it is an amazing place. It’s like Michael’s on steroids. I found some very interesting things that could become some great accessories. I love the funky flowers. And, although the glass is not genuine cracked glass, it looks enough like it to pass. Plus, it’s a lot cheaper.
We also stopped at Pier One Imports to see if they had anything “Mid Century-ish”.
I saw a couple of things (above) but it was certainly not a haven for Mod furnishings. Dang.
I will be excited to see the electricity working later on this week.
I’ll be even more excited when the toilets are installed. 🙂
