The Bathtub tile is in!
I was so nervous to see it because this was my idea and if it looked bad I would have to live with it.
But. It. Looks. Great #!!!
What’d I tell you? Of course, the grout is not in yet. It will probably go in tomorrow. That will soften the dark lines and help the penny tiles to pop a little.
Here’s the little shampoo and soap niche.
So cute and so handy.
I spoke to our dear contractor yesterday and the electrician was there moving the hookups in the kitchen (he made some assumptions about where we would be installing the stove and unfortunately, he was wrong. He is also installing our outdoor lights that will go along the walk to the front door.
This is an up and down light. It shines up and it shines down and then you see a little light in the two little windows. It’s rather unimpressive when there is no light shining thru. Wait till you see it on. (She crosses her fingers.) We will have two of these in this walkway.
We will probably put two more on the deck and then take those to the back patio so we have two matching ones there, also.
And, this isn’t a fixture, but it will make things easier.
We installed a tankless water heater in the house instead of having a water heater. The previous water heater house will now go to housing our wine cooler.
The opening on the left next to the brick was where the original water heater was stored. Now, we don’t have to worry about hot water (unless, of course, the power goes off. Then we have no reserve.) Hubster says maybe we should think of a generator just in case. I don’t want to think about that right now.
Still waiting for the fixtures for the “over the counter” to arrive. We had originally purchased some small globe pendants from IKEA and we were perfectly happy with them until I saw these:
They go with some fixtures we already have in the house, so I ordered three. They weren’t cheap, but they will look cool. And, after all, looking cool is what we are after, right?
So, we have some pretty colors in the back yard. The trees badly need pruning, but they are beautiful
Then there’s Obie T. Dogg, who continues to panic pant every time he comes to the house.
I’m sure he will like it once we get moved in and things start to smell like us.
I hope…
Hello. Can you tell me the manufacturer for the aqua pennyround tile in the bath? Is it matte or glossy tile? Thanks.
I’m so sorry, I don’t remember. I got it at a local tile store.
